As a Clinical Pharmacist you will perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. While your work will take place over the phone, you'll have a direct impact on the lives of our members as you consult with physicians regarding medications and overall wellness. If you are located within 50 miles from the Sugar Land, TX offices, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
Reviews and approves / denies requests for prescription prior authorizations Oversees the activities of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks and customer service advocates Organizes workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards Performs all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Conforms with and supports department quality assurance and improvement guidelines Pharmacist with analytical skills and eye for detail desired This position will be Monday to Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm CST
This position will be:
Monday - Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm CST shift. Overtime, peer to peer discussions with providers, on-call during weekends and holidays are part of the work expectation.
Pharmacist license in good standing BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree 2 years of experience working in a retail, Hospital or PBM / Managed Care pharmacy setting Ability to navigate MS Office and a Windows based environment and the ability to create, edit, save, and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word Ability to navigate Outlook and conduct Internet searches Ability to work occasional weekend and on call shifts Overtime may be voluntary or mandatory as part of the position to support business needs
Pharm D PBM or Managed Care experience Call Center experience Independent, motivated worker Strong clinical background and knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills
