Description
An Enterprise Quality Engineering Solutions Architect is essential to our vision of leveraging software, hardware and infrastructure, transforming the Quality Engineering Organization's internal quality engineering environment, and our successful journey of leveraging a multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, On-premises) highly available hybrid solution meeting long term strategies & short term objectives.
Responsibilities
An Enterprise Quality Engineering Solutions Architect:
Works as a Technical leader alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams
Provides deep transformation/migration knowledge with respect to cloud architecture, design patterns by collaborating with our SPARQ's internal and external partners
Advises and implement multi-Cloud best practices
Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
Assists in the development of a solutions architecture program including departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for IT systems architecture.
Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions.
Influences changes to standards when necessary.
Contributes to mature our DevOps practices including continuous integration and automated deployment
Brings in eminence, thought leadership, identify trends and business opportunities
Provides consultative, architectural, program & engineering support for our internal Quality Engineering projects including our journey to the cloud
Delivers innovative solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of our Quality Engineering projects and for our customers' needs etc.
Translates between business and tech to bridge the gaps between business strategies and the required technical solutions
Qualifications:
15 years of experience in combined roles of enterprise or technical architecture, IT strategy, or infrastructure with equivalent years in systems architecture, data migrations and infrastructure (network, server, storage & backup/recovery) designs
Hands-on systems design experience using OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) and TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol) models in architecting system solutions
Deep expertise in architecting cloud migration solutions to implement the most effective and efficient hybrid environment.
Must have experience in DevSecOps and Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment
Must have an in-depth experience in Platform evaluation, approach, roadmap and implementation framework on Cloud Migration and documenting SOW for vendor contracts
Must possess vast knowledge and design experience with legacy applications (mainframe), open systems, API, Microservices usage, Kubernetes and Containerization
Deep understanding of the current state of the art for infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL, networking, and cloud-based delivery models
Deep knowledge of deploying secure applications using containers
Hands-on experience with adjacent technology areas including Security, Identity / Access Management and Monitoring
Demonstrated knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Desire to be able to function as an architect for hybrid and multi-cloud solutions
Experience leading others in a large, highly complex and ever-changing organization; preferably in a hybrid cloud environment.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency, accountability and holding our partners to the same standard
Bachelor's Degree or related job experience
