Project manages diverse event portfolio and event marketing team.
Project manages diverse portfolio of corporate event types ( seminars, executive roundtables, sponsorships) with specific teams mapped as event type specialists. Drives alignment of messaging and overall strategy; helps to ensure that the right event is delivered to the right audience at the right time. Drives creative thought process and continuous evaluation and refinement of Oracle*s event marketing portfolio. Provides management with reports and analysis on program efficacy for future program selection and budget allocation. Provides effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business and market.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in area of event production and design. 8 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity to bepart of our growing North America Marketing team. TheSr. Event MarketingManagerwillorganize and ensure the smooth operationof key marketing events, partnering with internal and external stakeholders tomanage strategy, planning, budgeting, implementation and reporting. Thisincludes both third-party, and Oracle-led events - from intimate networkingreceptions, in-office workshops and unique special events, to major tradeshows - that generate leads and awareness for our North America salesteams.
Key responsibilities:
Develop event marketing strategies to meetbusiness objectives
Take ownership of assigned events, including strategy,budgeting, planning, forecasting, execution and follow-up
Collaborate across business units (ProductMarketing, Product Development, Business Development, etc.), as well as withcontent marketing and campaign strategists, to align around messaging, event format, and goals
Coordinatewith program managers on pre-event promotion, on-site branding, and outsidevendors
Manage social event coverage during events
Managepost-event communications to ensure proper and consistent lead flow
Preferred Qualifications
8 years in an event strategy/specialist role, preferably within B2BTech Marketing
Strong understanding of communications strategy,marketing and branding principles
Proactive, problem-solving and organizational skills
Strong collaborative and relationship-buildingskills
Ability to stay ahead of trends and best practices for eventplanning and promotions
Basic understanding of lead generation and flow within a B2Borganization
Expertise in managing projects across various,regionally distributed teams
Experience working across departments, with leadership, and withexternal agencies to guide event strategy and execution
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor s degree or higher
*Travel Component: *Approx. 20% travel within the United States and Canada may be required to successfully fill this role.
*Position Location: * Role is based in North America and requires close coordination with virtual team. Open to considering candidates based in any US or Canada location; will work remotely from home office or in regional office as part of virtual team.
