The Senior Technology Leadership Professional for Automation Anywhere is responsible for all aspects of software or hardware product delivery and performance. The Senior Technology Leadership Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


The Senior Technology Leadership Professional oversees the technical implementation of the Automation Anywhere (AA) platform at Humana. He or she installs, upgrades, and maintains AA infrastructure, including Control Room, Bot Insights, and IQ Bot on a cloud platform and oversees the certification and deployment of AA client versions. The AA architect works closely with the corporate identity and access management team to implement security processes and protocols for AA. She or he provides top-level support for AA technical problems encountered by all stakeholders. The AA architect works closely with the AA vendor to identify and maintain a list of desired AA enhancements and drive implementation of those enhancements. The AA architect defines processes and procedures for AA development, both for citizen developer (business) teams and IT teams, and creates documentation. He or she integrates AA with other RPA and cognitive tools and other IT resources.



Install, upgrade, and maintain Automation Anywhere infrastructure on Amazon Web Services.

Coordinate certification and deployment of the AA client.

Draft AA hardware plans and budgets.

Collaborate with other IT teams to obtain cloud resources, server backups, DNS entries, certificates, disaster recovery, etc.

Oversee implementation of Automation Anywhere on Citrix XenApp.

Develop AA integrations with corporate DevOps tools including code scanning and test automation tools.

Perform change management and provide system notifications for infrastructure changes.


Work with the corporate identity and access management (IAM) team to develop processes and procedures for Automation Anywhere security provisioning.

Develop integrations with corporate IAM tools.

Provision and manage system accounts, groups, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists needed for AA operations.


Provide third-level support for Automation Anywhere problems and issues.

Liaise support tickets with Automation Anywhere support.

Serve as a top-level resource for other RPA application architects, AA trainers, AA security team, AA IT developers, AA citizen developers, AA code reviewers, AA production systems management team, and other stakeholders.

Implement AA monitoring tools.

Vendor Relations

Maintain desired Automation Anywhere enhancements list and drive enhancements with the vendor.

Liaise with firms providing Automation Anywhere consultation to Humana.

Support business process outsourcing organizations who use the internal AA platform.

Process and Procedure

Define procedures for bot, credential, locker, role, user, and license administration.

Define the activities, artifacts, and approvals needed for the AA software development lifecycle (SDLC) for both citizen developer (CD) teams and the IT RPA team.

Define AA development standards.

Write documentation for CD teams and IT RPA team.

IT Integration

Integrate AA with other RPA and cognitive tools.

Integrate AA with other IT resources through database queries, ETL jobs, service calls, and other integration tools.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

5 years of technical experience

Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel

Experience with unit testing and mocking

Strong proficiency in verbal and written communication.

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Conceptual understanding of UI-interaction technologies such as WinAPI, MSAA, Java Access Bridge, DOM, EHLLAPI, etc.

Proven results in working with vendors to enhance commercial applications.

MBA or other Advanced Degree

Demonstrated ability running large scale projects

Experience with technology solutions assessments and/or strategy planning oversight

AA platform-level certification such as “Control Room Administrator” or “IT Infra Administrator.”

Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Experience with Puppet.

Experience with DynaTrace OneAgent.

Experience with Active Directory.

Experience with version control tools – Git, SVN

Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases including data modelling, data description language (DDL), and stored procedure development.

Experience with developing APIs and service calls, using both SOAP and REST.

Understanding of iterative development methodologies and terminology such as DevOps, Squads, and Agile.
