Description

The Quality Engineering team within Humana is a trusted, high performance technology partner that provides innovative and transformational capabilities and operational excellence. This in an exciting opportunity to be an innovator, leader, and technologist in this quickly growing business unit for a huge impact in an extremely interconnected and complex technology heavy organization.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in domain strategy, design, and architecture in the maturation of Humana's infrastructure towards excellence. This person should be a master in applying quality to infrastructure and site reliability engineering, honed from extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure. This highly motivated person will be working across teams to perpetually improve quality, CI/CD pipeline, enabling test reusability and repeatability across the Enterprise as we build stable, reliable, economic, and scalable infrastructure. This person is a hands-on leader in implementing, designing, and educating and mentoring the organization on quality through quality strategy, test automation and performance engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with infrastructure leadership, quality engineering teams, agile development scrum teams, DevOps service delivery, and software architects to create a world-class and mature Quality Engineering Program in Infrastructure. Maximize the organization's existing infrastructure architecture, with modern business continuity patterns, such as regionalization, multi-datacenter, on-premise and cloud managed services aspiring to improve, innovate and reinvent.

Required Qualifications

7 or more years of leading teams with a high emphasis on quality in the delivery of services.

Bachelor's degree in a computing field (or equivalent experience), proving a solid foundation in modern software development practices, languages, and paradigms.

Experience with infrastructure technologies.

Experience with testing strategies, tools, methodologies, and repeatable delivery of quality outcomes

Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders

Be a leader who interprets industry best practices to deliver, a researched, quality-focused, data driven, test and automation strategy.

Additional and preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of code practices that help drive quality, reusability, and maintainability

Passion for the agile mindset and solid foundation in agile practices (specifically scrum and/or Kanban).

Ability to help drive the organization streamlining the CI/CD pipeline, and championing opportunities to test early, automating 'fail fast' capabilities.

Experience with various types of testing including regression, performance, stress, unit, API, integration, and security testing.

Excellent interpersonal skills & an ability to build strong relationships

Highly motivated, collaborative & possessing an entrepreneurial mindset

Additional Information

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
