Customer Service Jobs

A customer service representative interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquires about products and services and handles and resolves customer's complaints. A customer service representative assists individuals interested in opening accounts for various utilities such as electricity and gas, or for communication services such as cable television and telephone; and gathers information by phone or in person and receives orders for services to be installed, turned on, turned off, or changed. A customer service representative may look into and resolve complaints about billings and service provided by phone, cable television, and utility companies; and may explain how to use equipment and solve any equipment problems. A customer service representative uses multilane telephones, fax machines, and personal computers to build sales and visibility as companies try to distinguish themselves from competitors.

A customer service representative requires a high school diploma or general education degree experience. A customer service representative should have excellent communication skills, selling skills, computer skill, strong written English and problem solving abilities. A customer service representative should be knowledgeable of customer service which will provide valuable service to customers.
