Home-based telephone reps search for potential commercial customers using available resources online; and makes contact with potential customers, finding out what their needs are, and setting up a demo of services. Home-based telephone reps identify new customers and markets by researching the state of the trades as well as talking to and listening to customers; researches and knows about the latest trade trends especially pertaining to marketing; and has a marketing responsibilities including work with flyers, website, placing ads online. Home-based telephone reps contact potential customers and outbound telemarketing, and also provide excellent customer service from home. Home-based telephone reps assist customers with questions and issues regarding their problems; answers customer questions and resolves issues relating to claims, warranties, and servicing products; demonstrates superior customer relations; and meets quality standards.

Home-based telephone reps should have high school diploma; and preferably one year experience customer service, retail, or call center experience. Home-based telephone reps need to hear and speak clearly using phone. A home computer with Internet access and home landline phone are required.
